Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner & Certified Nurse Midwife
Ashli Gibson is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in Perinatal and Reproductive Psychiatry. With a background as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), she has extensive experience in prenatal care, birth, postpartum care, and gynecology. Over her six-year career as a midwife, she developed a deep understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of reproductive health, allowing her to offer comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Ashli earned her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Frontier Nursing University in 2023 and previously completed her Certified Nurse Midwife training at East Carolina University in 2017. She holds a Perinatal Mental Health Certification through Postpartum Support International, further enhancing her ability to support patients through pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive transitions. Her educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (UNCW, 2012) and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish (UNCW, 2008). Additionally, she is a certified yoga instructor, incorporating mindfulness into her approach to care.

Her psychiatric services include individualized counseling, lab assessments, pharmacogenomic testing, and medication management, ensuring a well-rounded approach to patient care.
Beyond the Office
Outside of work, Ashli enjoys spending time with her spouse and two daughters. She finds joy in yoga, paddleboarding, traveling, and participating in her long-standing book club. She also plays the keyboard in her family band, embracing creativity and connection in all aspects of life.
